Well, I'd suggest to commit this in a few parts; eg. just split on some directories.

In my tests I did
    fsvs ci /usr/share
    fsvs ci /usr/local
and so on, to use a bit less temporary disk-space during commit.

Furthermore such a sequence could allow us to find out where exactly the commit died;
from your message above I can't see whether there might be unusual characters (UTF8) in
your filesystem, or whatever else might be the problem.

You could also try to use the debug_buffer option, to get the last debug messages when
the error occurs.

I'm sorry, but I can't deduce any source of the problem from the pure error message.

Regards,

Phil

             Try fsvs (fsvs.tigris.org)!
